About Us

Hello, welcome to Gurnard pre-school.

Gurnard Pre-School operates from a purpose built unit situated in the grounds of Gurnard Primary School, on the Isle of Wight.

Our children have access to an enclosed outdoor play area and woodland, and also have the use of the school field and outdoor environment, including an adventure playground. There is provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and those who speak English as an additional language. We are registered by Ofsted on the Early Years Register and the voluntary and compulsory parts of the Childcare Register.

Opening Hours

We are open Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 5pm and 7.30am to 3pm on Fridays, for 49 weeks of the year; we are closed for one week in August and two weeks over Christmas. Throughout the day we offer a breakfast club operating from 7:30am to 8:30am; the Pre-School room is open from 8:30am to 2:30pm; Our One and Two year rooms are open from 8:45am to 2:45pm and we offer an after-school club from 2:45pm to 5pm.

Age Range

We care for children aged one year to four years.
